Dr. Jaime Reininho is a
counsellor/psychotherapist qualified to Advanced Diploma level with over 8
years experience. He is registered with the UKRCP and an accredited member of
the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapies (BACP). He follows
their Code of Ethics which includes having regular clinical supervision and respecting
confidentiality. He is also a member of the British Association for Behavioural
and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). He works as a consultant and trainer on
self-development, non-violent communication, anger management, conflict
resolution and parenting, and has extensive experience of working with
individuals, couples and groups. Dr. Jaime Reininho is 55 years old,
Portuguese, and lived in the UK for 23 years, before moving to Portugal. He now returned to the UK and is available for telephone and online counselling/psychotherapy.

widely accepted as an evidence-based, cost-effective psychotherapy for many
disorders and increasingly is the therapy of choice of the NHS. CBT addresses
negative thoughts and unhelpful behaviours in order to change the way we feel
and so gain greater balance in life.

coaching to individuals and groups as well as providing family and couple

An initial consultation will allow
him to learn about you and your particular situation. He will then make an
assessment which he will discuss with you. A decision will then be made if it
is possible to work together and, if so, an agreement will be made on what you
would like to achieve and how to work towards that.
Duration and frequency
Counselling sessions usually last
50 minutes and are spaced to meet your needs, weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
The duration of counselling is always very personal and this is usually
discussed during the initial assessment and reviewed as appropriate. It can be
short term, 1–12 sessions or longer term, lasting one year or more.
standard fee is €40 per session. However, in order to make counselling affordable to all, there
is the special rate of €20 to students, the unemployed and those on low income.
